Easter is such a huge day. It’s not only a holiday that we observe, but it is the biggest holiday in the Christian faith. We all love Christmas, but its importance doesn’t even come close to Easter. Easter changes everything. It is because of the Resurrection that we have hope today.

And one of the major reasons I feel this way about Easter is this: The Resurrection proves that Jesus is the Son of God. Jesus is recorded all throughout the Gospels claiming to be the Son of God. But without Easter, that would mean nothing.

Jesus says this in John 10:17-18: “The reason my Father loves me is that I lay down my life—only to take it up again. No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down and authority to take it up again. This command I received from my Father.” This comes to fruition at the Resurrection.

Jesus conquers death and takes His life up again!

He alone had the authority to do this, and He did it! All of the claims He has made are solidified and confirmed here. At Easter, Jesus is proved as the Son of God.
